Veteran Hollywood actor Val Kilmer has passed away at the age of 65.
His daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, confirmed his death in a statement on Tuesday night, revealing that he died in Los Angeles after a prolonged battle with pneumonia.
Kilmer rose to fame with his role in Top Gun and later gained recognition for portraying Jim Morrison in The Doors, Doc Holliday in Tombstone, and Batman in Batman Forever.
Although he was one of Hollywood’s biggest stars in the 1990s, his career faced setbacks following conflicts with directors and co-stars, along with a string of underperforming films.

Diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014, Kilmer later recovered and continued acting, taking on significant roles in films such as Heat (1995), The Saint (1997), and Willow (1988). He also made a notable return in Top Gun: Maverick.
