Kano State Governor, Yusuf Abba of the New Nigeria People’s Party, has been sacked by the State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.
The tribunal of a three-man panel, led by Justice Oluyemi Akintan-Osadebay declared the All Progressives Congress candidate, Nasir Gawuna.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had on March 18 declared Yusuf the winner having polled 1,019,602 votes to defeat Gawuna, who gathered 890,705 votes.

Yusuf’s Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission was also withdrawn.
The three-man panel lauded the proceedings virtually a few minutes before 10:00 am and transmitted from Miller Road, Kano venue of the Election Petition Tribunal.
