Trump calls Grammys ‘virtually unwatchable,’ threatens legal action against Trevor Noah

U.S. President Donald Trump has lashed out at the Grammy Awards, describing the ceremony as “virtually unwatchable” and accusing host Trevor Noah of making what he called a false and defamatory statement about him.

In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump labelled the Grammys one of the “worst” award shows and said CBS was “lucky” to have stopped airing what he described as “garbage.”

He also criticised Noah’s hosting, unfavourably comparing him to late-night television host Jimmy Kimmel.

Trump’s remarks came after Noah referenced him and former President Bill Clinton during the ceremony in connection with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Denying any link to Epstein’s private island, Trump wrote, “I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close,” adding that he had never previously faced such accusations from the media.

He described Noah’s comment as incorrect and defamatory and said he was considering legal action.

Calling Noah a “pathetic” and “talentless” master of ceremonies, Trump suggested his lawyers could pursue a lawsuit for damages.

He also pointed to past legal battles with media figures, saying they had “worked out well” for him.
