President of the United States of America (USA), Donald Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a vein disorder that affects blood flow in the legs.
The condition was discovered after Trump noticed swelling in his lower legs and underwent medical checks.
The White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt revealed on Thursday that the 79-year-old president went through several tests, including blood work, an echocardiogram, and an ultrasound on his legs.
The tests confirmed the presence of the condition, which is common in people over the age of 70.
According to his doctors, there were no signs of more serious problems such as deep vein thrombosis, heart failure, kidney issues, or widespread illness.

His heart was found to be in good shape, and there were no symptoms of discomfort caused by the vein issue.
The press secretary also spoke about a discolored patch on the back of Trump’s hand, saying it was due to minor irritation from frequent handshakes and aspirin, which Trump takes regularly for heart health.
“Importantly, there was no evidence of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease… An echocardiogram was also performed and confirmed normal cardiac structure and function; no signs of heart failure, renal impairment, or systemic illness were identified additionally,” Leavitt said.
