Veteran actor Davis ‘Clarus’ Offor is dead

The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of veteran Nollywood actor Davis Offor, widely known for playing Clarus in the classic sitcom The New Masquerade.

News of his passing became public on Tuesday after fellow actor Tony Akposheri shared the sad development on his Facebook page.

Akposheri, who acted alongside Offor in the popular television series, expressed deep sorrow over the loss and reflected on their recent time together earlier in the year.

He explained that Offor had appeared cheerful and hopeful when they last met, making the news of his death more difficult to accept.

He described the late actor as someone who brought joy to those around him and maintained a strong personal bond beyond their work on screen.

According to him, Offorโ€™s passing has created a painful gap, especially as they had only spoken not long ago.
