During the win against Heidenheim, Boniface had a total of nine shots. It also means he now has a total of 38 shots after five matchdays.

On Monday, Bundesliga announced on their official website that since data collection began, no player has ever had as many shots after five matchdays of a Bundesliga season.

Boniface has been one of the signings of the season across the whole of Europe. His form is a terrific one and his presence instills fear in the opposition defenders.

His pace, strength and finishing ability are traits Bayer Leverkusen are fortunate enough to benefit from so far. It can only get better for the striker who has one cap for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
