Victor Osimhen could take legal action against Napoli after TikTok incident

Roberto Calenda, who is the agent of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, has threatened to take legal action against Napoli.

This comes after a troll video was released on the Italian club’s TikTok account. In the video, Osimhen was seen appealing for a penalty which he eventually lost.

Netizens criticised the video, tagging it racist and a mockery of the 2023 Ballon d’Or nominee. Meanwhile, the video has since been deleted.

In a tweet by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Calenda has stated Osimhen could take legal action.

ā€œWhat happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted,” Fabrizio Romano quoted Calenda.

ā€œA serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake newsā€.

ā€œWe reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victorā€.
