Victor Osimhen predicted Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title triumph – Boniface

Bundesliga winner Victor Boniface has stated Super Eagles teammate Victor Osimhen predicted Bayer Leverkusen’s German title victory.

On Sunday, Bayer Leverkusen were crowned the new champions of Germany as they won their first-ever title. Boniface has since taken to social media to celebrate the historic Bundesliga title victory, adding that Osimhen predicted the triumph.

To seal the league title, Leverkusen massacred Werder Bremen 5-0, with Boniface opening the scoring. He is also joint-top scorer in the league for Die Werkself with 11 goals, alongside Florian Writz. Boniface also has eight Bundesliga assists to his name this campaign.

Xabi Alonso’s side also won the trophy with five games of the league season to spare. The team remains impressively unbeaten in 43 games across all competitions this term.

Meanwhile, in an Instagram story, Boniface shared a message about Osimhen’s prediction of Leverkusen winning the Bundesliga.

Osimhen’s prediction of Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title victory

“Last year after Napoli won the league Victor Osimhen called me, baba say next year (2024) na your turn, say more celebration dey front. Respect baba,” Boniface wrote.

In 2023, Osimhen led Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years (since 1990) and also won the CAF African Footballer of the Year award. He was a key part of the team and finished as the Italian league’s highest goal scorer with 26.

This is just Boniface’s first season with Leverkusen and he has wasted no time in settling in. Although he was out injured since January – as he missed the AFCON – and only returned this month, Boniface is a major reason why Bayer Leverkusen are celebrating a maiden Bundesliga crown.

His goals, assists, aura, and general impact on the game showcase the true hallmark of a born champion.
