The documentation platform, Guinness World Record have announced that their team is reviewing the performance of Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef who recently broke the record for longest number of hours cooking.
On Monday, May 15, Hilda Baci whose official name is Hilda Effiong Bassey made history when she became the first person to cook for 100 hours surpassing the 87-hours previously set by Indian chef, Tata Tondon.
In a statement released via the official platform of Guinness World Record on Tuesday, May 16, they confirmed that their team is currently reviewing Hilda’s performance.
Making the announcement on Twitter, the post read, “Our records team is looking forward to reviewing the evidence from Hilda’s epic cooking marathon.”

Part of the statement read further,
“Officials on our records team look forward to reviewing the evidence and hope to be able to verify Hildaās efforts as a new record very soon.
A Guinness World Records spokesperson said: āWe are aware of the record attempt and are looking forward to receiving the evidence for our Records Management Team to review, before we can confirm the record is official.ā
