We’ll end gender-based violence – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s commitment to combating gender-based violence and expanding educational opportunities for girls in safe and supportive environments.

He emphasized that these measures will empower more women to excel in various fields, including politics, engineering, science, technology, sports, and the creative economy, thus shaping their future endeavors effectively.

Speaking at the launch of the #WeAreEqual campaign at the State House, Tinubu commended the dedication of African First Ladies, as OAFLAD members, to promote gender equality and bridge the gender gap across the continent.

The #WeAreEqual campaign, initiated by the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), has been rolled out in 15 African countries, focusing on health, education, economic empowerment, and addressing gender-based violence.
