Victor Boniface is closing in on a long-awaited return for Werder Bremen with the striker’s recovery offering fresh hope.
After months of being sidelined with a knee injury, progress has been encouraging and his return could reshape Bremen’s attacking options.
Head coach Daniel Thioune shared optimism about the Nigerian’s situation: “First of all, I’m happy to have met him. We had a long talk.”
Injury comeback could prove decisive as Bremen battle to stay up
“He indicated that he wants to help us in our fight to stay in the league,” Thioune added.
However, Thioune remains cautious about his reintegration as he stated minutes will be managed carefully in upcoming fixtures.

“If we can give Victor a few minutes… that could be a big help,” he said.
The forward joined on loan from another Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, and has already made 11 league appearances.
With two assists to his name, his impact has been modest and his return to action could prove vital in the club’s run-in.
