WeWantCody is the number one trending topic on the wrestling section of the microblogging site, X (also known as Twitter).

Members of the WWE Universe are trending the #WeWantCody hashtag because they want the Royal Rumble winner to “finish his story”.

On Saturday, January 27, Cody Rhodes emerged winner of the 2024 Royal Rumble contest. Haven’t won the 2023 edition, Cody ought to main event the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) flagship event, Wrestlemania in April 2024 where he would face the WWE undisputed champion, Roman Reigns.

Cody is supposed to “finish his story” after losing his match against Reigns at Wrestlemania in 2023, however, following the return of WWE veteran, The Rock whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, Cody might be unable to achieve his aim and objective at the flagship program.

During WWE’s Smack Down show on Friday, February 2, Cody appeared on the program to have a face-off with the reigning WWE Undisputed Champion, Roman Reigns, who is otherwise known as “the tribal chief”.

Speaking during the session, Rhodes mentioned that “he won’t be facing Roman Reigns in Wrestlemania”. The statement infuriated the WWE universe as they are unable to come to terms with his statement following his victory at Royal Rumble just one week ago.

Moments after Rhodes made the revelation on Friday night Smack Down, former WWE champion, The Rock came to the ring that had Rhodes and Roman Reigns present.

Rock spoke into the ears of the Royal Rumble winner, Rhodes before he left the scene. In the concluding moments of the segment, Rock who is related to Roman Reigns had a face-off in the ring.
