Yoruba actor Yusuf Olorungbede is dead

Yoruba Nollywood actor Yusuf Olorungbede has passed away after battling illness.

Several colleagues in the Yoruba movie industry confirmed his death.

Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola shared the news on her verified Instagram account, stating, “We lost Yusuf Olorungbede… We submit to God’s Will. Thank You Everyone!”

Actor Oladimeji Peter also expressed his grief on Facebook, recalling the impact Olorungbede had on his career. “It is sad to hear you are gone.

“As an Actor you gave me courage, you are the first director that will invite me to movie location and pay me, not just that alone, my feeding and personal accommodation was settled without stress, how will I write up my stories in this industry and slide your name EGBON????Ko possible through you I met alot and I learnt so much from you. Good night Boss man 😓 Yusuf Olorungbede 🎩🎩🎩”

Olorungbede had been unwell for some time and was placed on life support in the days leading up to his death.
