Former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki was taunted on Twitter earlier today by some youths associated with #EndSARS, for posting about his love for the new Wizkid album #madeinlagos.
‘He is part of the rot’, one of the replies read. Another responder told Saraki not to act like he was on the side of the youths; claiming that he was part of the problem in Nigeria.

Bukola is the son of late Kwara political godfather, Oloye Abubakar Olusola Saraki. The former Governor is someone who is keen to leverage on building ties with the younger generation. Unfortunately, Saraki’s association with Nigerian youths has not always gone down well.
Bukola Saraki was Nigeria’s Senate president in 2018. During his tenure, he was linked to the suspected robbers involved in a bank robbery. 33 people died in that incident in Offa, Kwara State.

According to the police, the arrested suspects confessed that they had links to the former lawmaker. He denied this in a statement released to the media and claimed that the allegations were baseless.
Saraki has since been quiet politically after his failed attempt at becoming Nigeria’s president in 2019. Time will tell where the pendulum of the Saraki political dynasty swings next.
