Yvonne Jegede explains why she divorced ex-husband, Kunle Abounce

Nigerian actress, Yvonne Jegede has explained she ended her marriage with her former husband, Kunle Abounce.

According to the foremost thespian, she was providing more in the marriage than her former partner.

News Round The Clock (NRTC) recalls that in 2019 Jegede confirmed the crash of her marriage to actor Olakunle ā€˜Abounceā€™ Fawole, barely a year after they tied the knot.

Speaking in the teaser of the upcoming episode of ā€˜The Honest Bunchā€™ podcast, the thespian said she regretted choosing love instead of money.

She stated that her ex-husband taking every joke as disrespect because he was older than her was also part of the reason for their divorce.

She said: ā€œHe [my ex-husband] is eight years older than me. But the moment we got married, if I tell am say, ā€˜You dey crease, ā€˜ he would say Iā€™m disrespecting him. I would if it was the same person I got married to.

ā€œBut that wasnā€™t the main reason I left the marriage. Let me just say the fact, I was bringing more of the money. Iā€™m taking care of my son like nobody exist around me. Itā€™s not easy. I would have gone for money instead of love.ā€
