Death struck the family of the senior pastor of Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya again as he lost his wife, Pastor Nomith Odukoya to cancer. Mrs. Odukoya passed on yesterday at age 47. The news was revealed by the church on their social media pages.
The post read, āāWith deep regret and gratitude to God, the Odukoya family announce the passing of our Wife, Mother and Gogo, Pastor Nomthi Odukoya. She battled cancer for the better part of two years, she stood on the Word of God, and she fought. The truth is, at one point in our lives, we all will have to say goodbye. So for now, till we meet again in glory, Goodbye Pastor Nomthi.āā
Pastor Taiwo and Nomthi Odukoya got married on January 5, 2010. This was five years after the death of his first wife, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, in the Sosoliso plane crash.
Who was Pastor Nomith Odukoya?
Pastor Nomthi was the founder of Fundawazi Foundation, an NGO that provides child friendly and relevant materials to aid of children and adults in learning. She was also the Chairperson of Fountain Initiative for Social Development (FISD), a faith-based, non-profit organization committed to entrepreneurial development and empowerment of underprivileged individuals and communities across Nigeria.
Also, she is the author of best selling children books, No! Donāt Touch Me There; A Bully Is Not a Hero; Help! They Are Fighting Again and Boys and Girls Are Different but Equal. She left behind two sons, Timileyin and Jomiloju.
Pastor Nike Adeyemi said, āāItās with a heavy heart I say goodnight to Pastor Nomthi Odukoya. We prayed, stood in faith with you that you will pull through this battle with cancer. Yet, God wanted you home. Praying for the comfort and strength of the Holy Spirit for Pastor, the children, the entire Odukoya and the Fountain of Life Church family.

Gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey wrote, āāThis hit me hard. Driving home yesterday when I heard the news. Almost pounced on the one who shared it. It is well. Rest on daughter of Zion ā Pastor Nomthi. Our prayers are with you sir, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya and his entire family. At the end of the day, we are a people of hope. And it doesnāt end here.āā
Pastor Godman Akinlabi posted, āāThe sad news of Pastor Nomithās passing is very heartbreaking and will make many people query God and ask many questions. One thing that is certain is that our God is always faithful. And when we choose to judge him faithful in negative circumstances, we are better positioned for revelation and understanding of God and his sovereignty. Rest on, great womanā¦āā
