Kemi Afolabi reveals she has five years left to live


Nollywood actress, Kemi Afolabi has revealed in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo that she has only five years to live.

The actress was diagnosed with lupus in 2021 and she is currently living one out of the five years she is predicted to live through.

Speaking during the #WithChude interview session, Kemi tearfully revealed that her doctor has told her to prepare for the worst.

She quoted her doctor as saying, “Make sure you are with your loved ones. At least, you still have up to five years.”

Talking about the sickness, she said, “I have lupus. Itā€™s not curable. You just have to take medications for the rest of your life.”

Kemi Afolabi explained that she paid N1.2m on treatment yet it did not work.

She disclosed that she is continually in pain.

Equally important, lupus is an autoimmune disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. It has no cure but can only be managed.
