AC Milan’s sweet story as they eye their first Scudetto in 11 years

AC Milan

Despite not investing in big players in a long while, AC Milan is on the brink of securing their first Scudetto in eleven years.

Al, Stefano Pioli’s men need to do on the final day is to avoid defeat against Sassuolo.

Inter Milan, the defending champions are still pushing as they are two points behind going into the last game of the season.

They might draw confidence from the fact that Sassuolo had beaten Milan at home earlier this season. It will therefore be hard for the Rossoneri to beat them in their backyard.

But no doubt, Sassuolo is a great side that can beat any team. However, they are coming up against A Milan team that has been motivated by Pioli who has nothing to lose if he fails to win a title.

This is expected to have played a part as they play less under pressure. Surprisingly, they have been getting the result in the absence of talisman, Zlatan Ibrahimovic who have been nursing an injury.

Having motivated them with the late Kobe Bryant story, Pioli expects his lad to go to Sassuolo and do the needful and put his name in the book of history.

It will be another medal to Ibrahimovic who is still willing to play on at the age of 40+.

As it stands, it is now in the hands of the Diavolo to dislodge Inter as champions. So, they needed to do the needful come this weekend.

AC Milan got to this point with 15 games unbeaten record. It is now the last gap of it that will take them to success.

The world can’t wait to see Milan return to the summit of football and the Champions League next season where they truly belong.

Inter Milan are their own enemies

Inter Milan on the other hand no doubt are not the same team as last season. After the exit of Romelu Lukaku, who was the highest goal scorer in the league last term and Achraf Hakimi, the Inter team were not up to the level of the Antonio Conte era that would grind out results.

Due respect to Si9meone Inzaghi, this team lacked the cutting edge in the games they would have won.

Even in their recent win against relegation-threatened Cagliari, they lost some chances before getting the goals.

Inter even had the advantage of having an outstanding game. They could have used to cover up and overtake Milan but lost the golden opportunity against Bologna.

As it is, it is not in their hands. They can only hope that Sassuolo help them to beat Milan while they do their own business at the Guiseppe Meaza Stadium on the final day.
