The nation’s security forces have been given complete latitude to deal with the terrorists and bandits wreaking havoc in the country, according to President Muhammadu Buhari, who made the statement on Tuesday, August 2.
The President did this while expressing his sympathies to people who lost loved ones in the recent terrorist attacks in the states of Sokoto, Kaduna, and Plateau.

According to Mallam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Buhari inspected the situation after hearing reports that multiple people had died in the attacks.
He promised the states that the federal government would provide every kind of assistance.
According to him, āWe have given security forces full freedom to deal with, and bring to end this madness.
āI condemn these barbaric attacks on the country. I wish to assure the states of all possible support from the government of the federation.
āMy thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly.ā
