Juventus forward , Angel Di Maria says assists are more important than goals to him.
The Argentine stated this on Wednesday after setting up the three goals that secured a 3-1 win for the Serie A giant against Isreali side, Maccabi Haifa during Champions League matchday three.
The forward also admitted that he does not deserve to play against Milan on Saturday, after escaping a red card in the last domestic fixture.
El Fideo was the man of the match at the Allianz Stadium for his efforts.
āThe group is the most important thing, it was an excellent match. I helped the team win. Itās the second victory with three goals scored, something weād been missing,ā Di Maria told Sky Sport Italia, as quoted by Ilbianconero.com.
Before this win, the Bianconerri won the first match in a month on Sunday against Bologna, securing a 3-0 win at the Allianz Stadium.
āSpeaking further, So Maria noted that to win is the most important thing, adding that Juve fought hard to change the result.
“I try to do my job, delivering assists is what makes me happy. Assists are more important than goals. I wanted to play like this and I am happy.ā

The Bianconerri went into the Champions League game on the back of losing the previous two games against Benfica and PSG. They are now four points behind the leading pair in Group H.
Can Do Maria continue to inspire Juventus?
Having delivered such a huge performance, Di Maria has shown that he is not done yet doing his thing.
After the exit of Ronaldo, he could be what Juve actually need: someone with top class experience that can return them to old winning ways.
Since he gas Vlahovic and Milik to rely on in scoring the goals, Di Maria will definitely do more provided he is injury free.
