Many would argue the title of this article based on the sparkling form of Arsenal football club but some facts could convince that they are nearing the tag.
Arsenal returned top the summit of the Premier League table after an impressive 3-2 win against Liverpool.
Due respect to the Reds, but this is a Liverpool side that has struggled to win games this season with just to wins in nine games.
When they recorded their first defeat against Manchester United that have been fumbling before that , many questioned the Gunners, thinking they will start losing matches henceforth. But they showed character and a glimpse of it was obvious at the Old Trafford that this is not the same Arsenal team that we have been seeing since Wenger era.
The young lads now play with a lot of believes; all credit to Mikel Arteta who is gradually building the team he wants.
Does Arsenal have a chance of winning the Premier League?
Many have stated that Arsenal will soon start losing games after ten games. Now that they have won eight out of nine games, we will still be waiting if that prediction will work.
But this Arsenal side have shown massive level of maturity and consistency, barring their loss against Manchester United.

Such a display against Liverpool could make them to be tagged one of the contenders, Having defeated Tottenham Hotspurs this season as well amplifies that.
But looking at the Liverpool Arsenal played, it was the same team that have been vulnerable in defence from the beginning of this season. Star player, Mohammed Salah and the likes have failed to sparkle except a quality display against Bournemouth.
It was glaring in the face of all that this Liverpool has not been convincing. So, scaling through the hurdles of North London derby and Liverpool doesn’t still fulfil that tag of contender.
It is until Arsenal make another statement against Manchester that is firing from all cylinders and clip Brent Haaland like they did with Salah today, many will be taking the Gunners serious. However, underrating the Gunners could spell doom for you as well having been consistent mostly this season.

As the season goes on and games keep coming, their resolve will continue to be tested and they need to answer and show an hallmark of a champion.
Next on their premier League fixture is Leeds United that have not impressive as well. They are expected to get maximum point here.
Meanwhile, the Gunners will have an opportunity to extend their lead further on the log as Manchester City and Liverpool lock horns next week. But there is still doubt in Jurgen Klopp’s men in getting a draw against the Citizens.
Consistent, matured and confident Arsenal can win the Premier League
The performance of Arsenal so far this season have shown that they have progressed but this was the biggest signal yet that they are heading firmly in the right direction under manager Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners were calm despite Liverpool coming back into the game twice. This was pleasing to Arteta as they gathered themselves to get back in front and ultimately close out the win.
This wasn’t an old Arsenal side with a fragile mentality. They showed the strength and resilience to hold their nerve against a Liverpool team that has made a habit of getting the better of them in recent years.
Credit to Gabriel Martinelli who was again outstanding for Arsenal. The Brazilian who never looked tired tormented Liverpool’s defence throughout as he scored the first goal then led the breakaway that saw Bukayo Saka restore their advantage on the stroke of half-time.
Credit to Saka who showed confidence and composure to step forward and drill the resulting spot-kick past Alisson.
This performance has brought real believe and feeling of unity to Arsenal. Mikel Arteta can’t be left out in this , having put together an impressive blend of youth and experience that suggests bigger things are to come for this side.
The biggest statement the Gunners need to make is to defeat Man City and change the narrative of naysayers.
