Not everyone is cut out for the really strenous methods of working out, it’s understandable. However, an exercise as simple as a daily brisk walk have many benefits that can help you live a healthier life. Studies have shown that at least 30 minutes of walking daily is a great way to improve and maintain your health. Walking is the perfect exercise for those who are overweight, aged or thinking of starting an exercise routine.

If you’re planning to maintain an healthy weight, walking is one of the simple ways you can achieve that because research have proven that walking helps you reduce fat and improve the body’s response to insulin. About 150 calories are burnt as a result of 30 minutes of walking.

A study published in The New England Journal of Medicine, revealed that those who walked enough to meet physical activity guidelines had a 30% lower risk of cardiovascular events (like heart attack or stroke) compared with those who did not walk regularly. Because walking reduces pain and stress which can disturb your sleep, you’re able to get better sleep. A recent study found healthy adults who walked daily had a significant positive impact on sleep quality and length of sleep.
