When the appointment of former Arsenal manager Unai Emery was confirmed, many would have wondered why such a move by him.
Having led Villarreal to a Europa League success and taken them to another semifinal in the champions league, many expect him to consolidate on the win.
But the Yellow Marines seem to have gone a bit low in clash due to the exit of some players and the coach starting all over again.

It can also be said to be an escape route for the former A we villa coach whose contract will expire this summer. Since Villarreal were not talking about a new deal, as they watched the team performance, it was an opportunity that Emery could not turn down.
Will Unai Emery succeed at Villa?
Emery has proven to be a top-class manager with success in his CV.
Having succeeded with Sevilla, PSG, and Villarreal lately, no one will need to doubt his competence.
But will the Villa faithful give him the respect and time he deserves to build his team and make his tactics work? That is left to be seen in a few months.
If Steven Gerrard could not convince the fans and earn their respect for being a legend in the country and Europe, it means Emery must hit the ground running.
Barring his performance at Arsenal, Emery has what it takes to save Villa from relegation at least and stabilize the team.
He also joins the team when there will be a break because of the FIFA World Cup. So, he will be able to buy one or two and rejig the team for the remaining part of the season come January.
Before then, the competition will allow him and other managers to see their next potential rivals.
Aston Villa’s appointment of Unai Emery is a sign of the club’s ambition and determination to make a mark in Europe.
They now have a peerless European specialist as a manager.
As stated earlier, his first task is to move Villa up the Premier League, and he will return to England as a manager with something to prove following his sacking by Arsenal in 2019
.Although replacing Arsene Wenger was a huge task. He finished fifth in his debut season at Emirates Stadium but was painted as a failure.
He, however, proved himself again as an expert in European competition, leading the Gunners to the Europa League final, where they lost to Chelsea.

One of the things that must have convinced Emery to sign for Villa is that the owners want the club to compete in Europe. They also want to reset after Steven Gerrard’s sacking after less than a year.
Now that they have one of Europe’s most experienced, respected, and decorated coaches, ambition is hoped to be fulfilled.
Emery also needs to show determination to set the record straight after his time at Arsenal.
