Fatima Muhammad was born on 15 June, 1982. She is one of the first female stars to ever grace Kannywood. Fati Muhammad is currently regarded as one of the most successful film stars in Northern Nigeria. She is from Tukuntawa, Kano, Nigeria.
Personal life
Her personal life became the subject of public interest when she married her co-actor Sani Mai Iska. Subsequently, the two relocated to London. Fati moved back to Nigeria after their divorce and rejoined the Hausa film industry. Lately, she’s ventured into business, politics, etc. In the past, she has actively campaigned for the PDP’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Career
Fati started her film career when she first expressed her desire to enter the film industry at a young age. She was watching Ki Yarda Da Ni, directed by Ibrahim Mandawari when she developed interest. At the time, she was living with her brother but he expressed displeasure.
When her parents agreed, she expressed her interest to Tahir Muhammad Fagge, a well-known filmmaker in the Kannywood industry. Tahir introduced her to Ishaq Sidi Ishaq an acclaimed image maker in the industry. It was then that Ishaq Sidi Ishaq casted Fati in his film “Da Babu“. The film emphasised her beauty and style, where she was immediately recognized from the film. This attracted the attention of other producers in the industry who repeatedly included Fati in their films.

Fati has acted in many films. Among them are; Sangaya, Zarge, Marainiya, Mujadala, Kudiri, Tutar So, Garwashi, Tawakkali, Gasa, Abadan Da’iman, Zo mu Zauna, Tangarda, Hujja, Al’ajabi, Halacci, Samodara, Zumunci, Murmushin Alkawari, Gimbiya, Bakandamiya, Taskan Rayuwa, Nagoma and Babban Gari. Although she no longer acts, she is still making films. After almost two decades outside the film industry, she made an appearance in Sani Danja and Yakubu Mohammed’s series titled “Gidan Danja.”
