Peter Okoye explains why ‘cabals’ want Peter Obi to descend as presidential candidate

Renowned Nigerian musician, Peter Okoye who is better known as Mr P has claimed that some people are calling on the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, to step down from the 2023 contest.

The Paul Okoyeā€™s twin brother said the people behind the call knew Obi was a threat.

This is as he asked ā€˜frustrated Nigeriansā€™ to take their anger to the ballot box come February 2023 to vote for Obi.

ā€œWhy are they not advising Kwankwaso, Sowore, or any other politician to withdraw from the race? Why @PeterObi? They know he is a threat. Dear frustrated Nigerians, take your anger to the ballot come February 2023 and vote for @NgLabour @PeterObi, itā€™s Nigeriansā€™ turn!ā€ he tweeted via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday.

Stating further, he said the cabals and ā€œbeneficiaries of corruptionā€ were against change, saying their ethnicity was not even the reason, but that they were afraid of the unity of the youths towards the 2023 elections.

The musician said the recent political waves were not even about Obi, adding that ā€œcorrupt politiciansā€ had failed millions of Nigerians.

ā€œThe cabals and beneficiaries of the corrupt state of Nigeria do not want to see it change. It does not matter whether theyā€™re Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa, when it comes to ensuring power remains with them, they unite against Nigerians! Now that the youths are united they are afraid.

ā€œThe Power behind @PeterObi is the pains of millions of Nigerians who deserve a better life but were failed by the corrupt politicians! This is no longer about @PeterObi. This is about the millions of frustrated Nigerians/youths who want to take their anger to the ballot box,ā€ he said.
