FA Cup: Iheanacho scores again, fires Leicester into fifth round

Nigeria’s sensational attacker Kelechi Iheanacho scored a stunner as Leicester City defeated Walsall 1-0 in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The Leicester attacker has continued to shine like a million stars in the oldest national football competition in the world, the FA Cup.

His most recent exploit was his fantastic goal against Walsall in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday, which sent Leicester into the fifth round of the competition.

The goal was his 17th in 23 FA Cup matches. Iheanacho has also scored more FA Cup goals than any player since making his debut in the competition in 2016.

Interestingly, he has scored seven goals in his last seven appearances in the competition.

Iheanacho scored the goal in the 68th minute after replacing Zambian forward Patson Daka. His goal proved the match winner after Your Tielemans missed from the spot.

The former Manchester City forward also scored the lone goal to help the Foxes in the previous round. He netted the winner in the 1-0 third-round victory at Gillingham.

On Saturday, James Maddison started the match, his first start since November, but could not produce the kind of performance needed for the game.

The kind of momentum needed to inflict damage on their opponents was lacking, with Leicester losing many of their challenges. Harvey Barnes and Patson Daka miscued their chances at certain times during the clash, much to the disappointment of the travelling fans.
