Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) head coach Gbenga Ogunbote has described the victory earned by his team over Plateau United in their Matchday 11 encounter as a big relief and confidence booster.
The experienced gaffer stated this while speaking with the media after the Oluyole Warriors grabbed the maximum points off the visiting side in the NPFL game at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
Ogunbote praised his players for upping their game and putting an end to the team’s winless streak.
Samuel Ayanrinde’s brace and a Ghali Falke strike gave 3SC a 3-2 victory in the pulsating encounter.

“It is a big relief for the team. For sometime we have not been able to get three points both at home and on the road,” Ogunbote said.
It will enhance the confidence of the players and it will give them some kind of relief. But the important thing is that we thank God.”
The Oracle, as the gaffer is fondly referred to, believes the win will serve as the tonic needed to get the desired result in subsequent games.
What next for 3SC and Ogunbote?
Ogunbote will lead his players to Akure for their Matchday 12 fixture against Kwara United.
“We take it one after the other. Kwara United came here while we were sharing the stadium and they forced us to a draw. We pray that as we go there for the return leg, we will take our chances…”
On the performance of 3SC goalkeeper Odah Okemute, Ogunbote said: “Okemute went there and did his best. He played his role for the team like any other goalkeeper would have done.
There is no special player and there is no ordinary player. The important thing is that he defended his integrity.”
