Grammy award winner, Burna Boy whose real name is Damini Ogulu will be the first-ever Nigerian artiste to headline a U.S. stadium when he performs at Citi Field stadium in New York in July.
At the announcement of the emerging event, the 31-year-old singer will be making history in July as the first Nigerian recording artiste to headline a U.S. stadium, this is according to Billboard.
His July 8-dated show at NYCās Citi Field marks another major stadium date in the Afro-fusion superstarās Love, Damini world tour, which includes future stops at Paris La Defense, London Stadium and Gelre Dome in Amsterdam.

The Citi Field stop, which is produced by Live Nation, falls on the first anniversary of Burnaās most recent album, Love, Damini, which peaked at No. 2 on Billboardās World Albums chart and received a 2023 Grammy nomination for best global music album.

In April 2022, the renowned singer-songwriter became the first Nigerian act to headline Madison Square Garden for his concert that was billed āBurna Boy Presents One Night in Space.ā
Equally, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. He rose to stardom in 2012 after releasing āLike to Partyā, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E.
