Atiku congratulates Adamawa Governor-elect, vows to reclaim his stolen mandate


The presidential candidate of the Peopleā€™s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has facilitated with the Adamawa State Governor-elect, Umaru Fintiri.

Fintiri was re-elected at Saturday’s supplementary election held in the state, defeating the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Aisha ā€˜Binaniā€™ Dahiru.

Atiku via his Twitter handle on Wednesday described Fintiri’s victory as a win for democracy, saying the win was a precursor for his victory at the presidential election tribunal.

He added that he would reclaim his stolen mandate from APC at the election petition tribunal for the country and its people.

Atiku tweeted, ā€œCongratulations, Gov Ahmadu Fintiri, on your deserved reelection as governor of Adamawa State. Thank you to the people of Adamawa and men and women of goodwill for staying the course in resisting coupists and enemies of democracy from having their way.
