Arsenal rallied from two goals down to draw 3-3 with Southampton in a breathtaking Premier League contest at the Emirates.
The Gunners entered the game four points ahead of closest challengers Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
City now have the opportunity to reduce the points gap to only two when they play their next league game.

Arsenal fans were left stunned when Carlos Alcaraz scored for Southampton inside the first minute of the Premier League clash.
Minutes later, the Emirates was sent into further shock when Alcaraz turned provider. He assisted former Arsenal player Theo Walcott to double Southampton’s advantage.
Gabriel Martinelli netted in the 20th minute to reduce the deficit and restore some hope. But the home side’s possession and dominance failed to count.
Arsenal continued to pour forward in a bid to rapidly overturn the situation but were unable to convert their chances.
Gabriel Jesus missed a couple clear cut opportunities to help Arsenal back into the game. Martin Ćdegaard, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka probed the Southampton area all to no avail.
Leandro Trossard was introduced for Fabio Vieira in the 57th minute but the away team rubbed more salt to their opponents’ injury when Duje Äaleta-Car turned in Soton’s third following good work from Armel Bella-Kotchap.
Arsenal fight back
However, there was more drama for Arsenal at the Southampton area in the interesting Premier League match. Mikel Arteta’s men scored twice in three minutes to rescue a point in the game.

Ćdegaard and Saka, two of the most impressive players this season, scored in the 88th and 90th minutes respectively to hand the league leaders a 3-3 draw.
