Some social media users have opined that ‘with 10k’ (ten thousand naira), there is little to nothing to achieve with that sum.
On Thursday evening, social media users went to war to argue what the sum of N10,000 can do for them. Several netizens think the funds is not enough to gift a person because it is seen as minimal, disrespectful and demeaning.
According to social media commentators especially the female populace on the microblogging site, Twitter, N10,000 cannot be used to ‘spoil a person’. For context, this means the sum of N10k cannot be used to attract one’s love interest or even aid someone who is need.
This has instigated an argument where the male commentators and some female netizens are not impressed with the above perception.

Further, several commentators stated that those who do not appreciate the funds sent to them, (the sum of N10k in this context) are ingrates and those who disregard the thoughtfulness of the cash gift should be dealt with accordingly.
Some went further to admonish entitled to appreciate the cash gift given to them regardless of the amount. Additionally, some mentioned that the inferiority complex of several men have made them to overcompensate by gifting women excessively.
