Veteran actress, Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, has emerged winner of the Industry Merit of the 2023 edition of the ninth Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award, AMVCA.
She joins veterans like Olu Jacobs, the late Bukky ĆjĆ yĆ, and so on in the annual accolade presented by MultiChoice recognizing outstanding achievement in television and film.
Mama G was a Nigerian musician and evangelist born on September 14, 1958, in the Ngwo village of Enugu State, Nigeria.

She has become an iconic figure in the entertainment industry and began her acting career in the early 2000s.
She came into the limelight after portraying a wide range of characters in various Nigerian movies, including both comedic and villainous roles.
The ninth edition of AMVCA currenly holding in Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos is being aired live on all Africa Magic channels.
