Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, has departed Eagle Square for Daura, Katsina State after handing over power to the new President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Buhari’s Personal Assistant on Broadcast Media, Buhari Sallau announced this via his Facebook page on Monday.
He wrote: “Alhamdulillah! Former President Muhammadu Buhari departs Abuja for Daura, his hometown, after eight years of serving the country as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. Thank you, Baba.”
I’m leaving office with better Nigeria — Buhari
Recall that the ex-president on many occasions stated that he was happily relocating to his farm in Daura to take care of his cattle.
Buhari maintained that he has not had time to care for his cattle [his business] since he became president.
While expressing appreciation to his ministers and others that worked with him, he stated that his cattle are easier to control than Nigerians.
