Entertainment: Davido allegedly cheated on Chioma by impregnating US, French ladies
The superstar Afrobeat singer, David Adekele, popularly known as Davido, has been the talk of the town as well as the most trending celebrity this week following an allegation that he impregnated two ladies outside wedlock.
NRTC WEEKLY gathered that Davido started trending when a US-based businesswoman and model, Anita Brown disclosed that she was pregnant for the singer, and revealed the gender of her unborn baby.
Ms. Brown, who said she was not aware the singer was married, claims they met in Dubai in 2017, and the two of them were in an on-again, off-again relationship until the pandemic hit in 2020.

Ms. Brown alleged that Davido impregnated her and asked her to abort it, NRTC WEEKLY confirmed through a clip shared by the model via her social media.
While Netizens were still nurturing Ms. Brown’s allegation, a French lady, identified as Ivanna Bay also called out Davido for being responsible for her pregnancy.
NRTC WEEKLY findings show that it was coming hours after Ms. Brown alleged that Davido impregnated her via the internet.
Ivanna said she was not aware Davido got another woman pregnant, questioning the singer about how many baby mama he has, saying they should just be ready for a soccer team.
Davido’s story came after Banky W Wellington was trending for allegedly cheating on his wife with his former signee, Niyola. However, the singer who turned Pastor debunked the rumor by sharing beautiful pictures of his wife and son.
Netizens made social media go abuzz over Davido’s case and opined that the singer could afford expenses but couldn’t afford protection. That’s the cheapest thing in the world.
NRTC WEEKLY gathered that while some were berating the singer, some were throwing weight behind him.
“He’s rich and his wife didn’t complain about him cheating on her. It’s only the poor that are making noise about what doesn’t concern them.
“Before he married him, she knew who he was — and the nature of his job meant he’d be attracted to women. It only takes the grace of God to abstain from ladies’ temptation as celebrities.”
Football: Chelsea arrival and departure, the summer transfer window
Last week, NRTC WEEKLY discussed Chelsea Football Club’s significant summer transfer window of 2023/2024 in both player arrivals and departures, shaping their squad for the upcoming season.
The club underwent several changes, with notable players leaving and new signings coming in to strengthen the team.

One of the notable departures from Chelsea was the Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic and France N’golo Kante. After spending several successful seasons at Stamford Bridge, the duo decided to seek new challenges and transferred to another club, bidding farewell to the Chelsea fans.
Another departure that surprised many Chelsea supporters was the exit of the brilliant defensive midfielder Kulibally for his composed style of play and accurate passing, Kulibally decided to pursue a new adventure, leaving a void in Chelsea’s midfield.
Additionally, the rumors surrounding the departure of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, who had been a crucial figure between the posts for Chelsea turned out to be reality. However, the club was not successful in managing to retain Mendy, as he eventually left for a Saudi Arabia league.
Chelsea also had some notable arrivals as well as expecting some brilliant players to return after their loan expiration such as Romeo Lukaku, NRTC WEEKLY gathered.
NRTC WEEKLY confirmed that two of the most significant signings, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Hervat known for technical abilities and creativity on the pitch also left after a challenging last season.
The club fans were worried as Chelsea couldn’t bolster their midfield and their attack with creative players. Their fear was not to experience the 2022/2023 season.
Education: LASU’s best-graduating student continues receiving rewards
For some years, the popular notion has been “education nah scam” resulting in students displaying an insatiable thirst for knowledge and an unwavering commitment to their studies in the early years of their academic journey derailing.
Their relentless pursuit of excellence has been jeopardized by the popular saying that consistently achieving outstanding results is not necessary.
But NRTC WEEKLY gathered that an Edo-born indigene, Aminat Yusuf set the stage for an extraordinary future with dedication and diligence of becoming more evident, earning recognition and accolades within educational institutions.

Yusuf recently graduated from law faculty at Lagos State University (LASU) with a perfect Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 5.0 had continued receiving awards, and recognition among others, NRTC WEEKLY gathered.
Recently, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki announced a reward of a one-year full scholarship into the Nigerian Law School for Yusuf as well as automatic employment into the state’s public service.
Obaseki added that an upkeep allowance equivalent to the salary of a State Counsel which is about N200,000 for the Edo born, NRTC WEEKLY confirmed.
Nigerians opined that the scholarship bestowed upon the student would open doors to countless opportunities — she will be able to pursue higher education without financial constraints, allowing her to focus wholeheartedly on her studies and further expand her knowledge.
“This scholarship not only rewarded the student’s exceptional academic performance but also recognized her potential to make a significant impact in her chosen field.” They said.
NRTC WEEKLY investigation showed that apart from Obaseki’s rewards, Yusuf was awarded ten million naira by Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Also, a transportation and safety expert based in the United States of America awarded the overall outstanding graduating student of Lagos State University (LASU), with a sum of N500,000, for her academic excellence.
Netizens maintained that the journey of the best graduating student, who consistently received awards and scholarship for breaking CGPA records, is one of the remarkable achievements and relentless dedication to academic excellence.
They said Nigeria had not been rewarding an exceptional individual who set a new standard for academic performance and stood out among their peers throughout their educational careers.
“This will serve as an inspiration to others, highlighting the rewards of hard work, perseverance, and a genuine passion for learning. Her story reminds us that with determination and dedication, we can push the boundaries of our potential and achieve extraordinary heights.
“Her unwavering commitment to learning, coupled with her exceptional achievements, serves as a testament to the power of dedication and hard work — her journey will continue to inspire and motivate future generations to reach for their highest aspirations and strive for excellence in all their endeavors.”
Metro: Iyabo Oko dies
Tears flowed freely on Thursday due to the death of a veteran Yoruba actress, Sidikat Odunkanwi, popularly known as Iyabo Oko.
The 62-year-old actress, who came to the limelight for her role in the movie titled Oko, produced by Oga Bello had been sick for some years before his death.
Before her death, he had featured prominently in Yoruba Movie circles, NRTC WEEKLY gathered.

Her celebrity daughter, Bisi Aisha, via her Facebook page, stated she died on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
Nigerians via their social media platforms wished her family the strength to bear the loss. NRTC WEEKLY gathered that Iyabo Oko’s death was not the first this year in the movie industry.
Politics: Gov Adeleke, Senator Clash At Eid Ground
The 2023 Eid-el-Kabir, otherwise known as Ileya festival among the Muslim celebrated in Osun State took some drama attributes due to the commotion at the Osogbo Eid prayer ground between Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke — former Senator Ajibola Basiru over sitting arrangement at the venue.
The festival which is known as Eid-al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice is the second and the largest of the two major festivals celebrated in Islam.
NRTC WEEKLY learned that the immediate past Senate was the first to arrive at the prayer ground located at the celebration and sat at the position reserved for the governor but an argument occurred when a protocol officer informed Ajibola that the front row was reserved for the governor.
After the governor arrived at the venue of the Eid prayer ground with some of his aides, the protocol officer again insisted that the former Senator should vacate the seat for the governor.
The issues almost resulted in pandemonium, with the governor angrily leaving the prayer ground without participating in the religious event, but as at press time, he has appealed for calm.
NRTC WEEKLY further learned that the governor disclosed he escaped assassination by Senator Basiru, who later refuted the allegations. The Commissioner of Police has been directed to arrest those involved no matter how highly placed.
However, some Netizens condemned the drama, insisting that those who perpetrated the evil should not go scot-free.
