The Federal Civil Service Commission has announced that the 2023 promotional examinations for federal civil servants are scheduled to commence on August 14.
This information was conveyed through a memo issued on July 28, 2023, signed by the Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, Tukur Ingawa.
The memo was addressed to several high-ranking officials, including the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan, and the Accountant-General of the Federation, Oluwatoyin Madein, as well as all Permanent Secretaries, among others.

According to the memo, candidates who are eligible to participate in the promotional examinations should take note of the dates assigned to their respective Cadre and Salary Grade Level.
āCandidates are advised to take a very close note of the date scheduled for their Cadre and Salary Grade Level and report at the stated venue for the exercise by 7 am prompt.”
The memo also called on Permanent Secretaries, Accounting Officers, and Chief Executive Officers of MDAs to ensure that all concerned parties are made aware of the examination schedule and comply accordingly.
The examination timetable outlines that civil servants on Grade Levels 14-15 will sit for their exams on August 14 and 15. Those on Grade Levels 15-16 will have their examinations between August 16 and 17, while August 18 is reserved for those on Grade Levels 16 and 17.
