The Super Falcons of Nigeria will take on England in their round of 16 clash at the Women’s World Cup.
England thrashed China 6-1 on Tuesday to top Group D and confirm the round of 16 fixture against Nigeria.
The Lionesses finished the group stage with nine maximum points, ahead of Denmark who accrued six.

Recall that the Super Falcons, just like England, went through the group stages without losing a single match.
Nigeria drew goalless against Canada in their first game before stunning co-hosts Australia 3-2. The West Africans then played another barren draw against the Republic of Ireland in their third group match.
Meanwhile, Sarina Weigman’s ladies recorded back-to-back 1-0 wins over Haiti and Denmark respectively in their first two group outings.

Nigeria will take on England for a place in the quarter-finals on Monday, 7th August at the Suncorp Stadium, Milton, Australia.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 8:30am Nigeria time (also WAT/GMT+1).
