‘I’ve no regret skipping my breakfast for the game’ – Atiku lauds Super Falcons amidst World Cup exit


Former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar has commended the Super Falcons of Nigeria for their impressive performance against England at the knockout stage of the ongoing 2023 Women’s World Cup.

The People Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the February election said he had no regret in skipping his breakfast to watch the match.

NRTC reported that despite the Super Falcons’ impressive performance, they lost 4:2 in a penalty shootout to England.

Atiku wrote: We may have lost to England in a penalty shootout, but the @NGSuper_Falcons have every reason to hold their heads high. I still have no regrets about skipping my breakfast for this game. #ENGNGR #FIFAWWCā€Æā€Æā€Æ -AA.”
