In Tunis, Quadri took the first set with a dominant 11-2 win. He won 12-10 in the second set which made Saleh completely overwhelmed and lost the subsequent set by 11-6.

Generally, Team Nigeria won only two gold medals at the 2023 ITTF African championship.
