Balarabe, nominated to replace the former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, reportedly collapsed during praise from a Kaduna senator after concluding his presentation to lawmakers.
This incident led to the Senate convening a closed-door session. Balarabe, a former Secretary to the Kaduna State government, was appointed in April to lead a 65-member transition committee for Uba Sani’s swearing-in.
It’s worth noting that President Bola Tinubu previously submitted 48 nominees to the Senate, of which 45 were approved as ministers.
