Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has called up Tyronne Ebuehi and Umar Sadiq as replacements for Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi ahead of this month’s international friendlies.
The Nottingham Forest duo were initially included in a 25-man squad ahead of games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.
However, following their absence for Forest’s game against Crystal Palace over the weekend, Peseiro has replaced both players.

While Awoniyi is expected to be out for at least a month with muscle stress, Aina is said to have sustained a hamstring injury.
Super Eagles media officer, Babafemi Raji gave the latest info on the situation and provided names of the replacements called up by the coach.
Ebuehi was on the bench in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe.
27 year-old Ebuehi, who plays for Italian club Empoli, has 11 caps for Nigeria. Meanwhile Real Sociedad forward Umar, who has not featured for Nigeria since June 2022 in the AFCON Qualifiers, has been capped 7 times.
