Italy and Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali has been banned for 10 months following a gambling addiction scandal.
In addition to that, the former AC Milan man will also participate in a gambling rehab plan for 8 months.
This automatically means the player will miss the rest of the season with Newcastle and also next year’s Euro tournament, should Italy qualify.

Tonali admitted to making bets on AC Milan matches during his time with the Serie A club.
The 23-year-old joined Newcastle for Ā£55m this summerAccording to Sky Italy, Sandro Tonali’s legal team were in discussions with Italian authorities over the ban days ago.
Tonali avoided as much as a three-year ban due to his cooperation during the investigation process.
