Nigerian chef, Tope Maggie ‘breaks’ Irish Chef cook-a-thon record, awaits confirmation 


Nigerian chef, Temitope Adebayo, fondly referred to as Tope Maggie, has allegedly broken the Irish Chef Alan Fisher’s Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest individual cooking marathon.

Chef Tope Maggie achieved the groundbreaking feat in Ogbomoso after involving an astounding 200 hours of continuous cooking surpassing chef Fisher’s 119 hours and 57 minutes.

The Nigerian chef who is currently awaiting Guinness World Record confirmation embarked on the challenge to surpass Chef Fisher’s record on November 9, 2023.

The cooking was held at Ogbomoso Recreation Club, opposite LAUTECH College of Health Sciences in Isale-General, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, the culinary journey unfolded in less than a month after Fisher dethroned Hilda Baci.
