Just a day after being inaugurated for his second term, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma announced the dissolution of his cabinet on Tuesday.

The Governor, re-elected in November of the previous year, removed all commissioners and political appointees from their positions with immediate effect.

Governor Uzodimma is set to reconstitute the cabinet by presenting a fresh list of commissioner-nominees to the state House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

Those affected by the dissolution include the Secretary to the State Government, commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, the Chief of Staff, and the Chief Press Secretary.
