The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB has disclosed that about 695,361 candidates have so far been registered.

This was contained in the weekly bulletin released by the board.

Prospective candidates are also encouraged to note that the registration deadline remains February 26th, 2024.

JAMB has also reiterated its directive that candidates, who visit CBT centres for UTME registration, must display their profile codes and e-PINs as vended from the Board’s USSD (55019 or 66019) on the mobile phones with which they had created such profile codes, otherwise they would not be registered.

This directive has become necessary to avoid the continual problem of identity mix-up, identity theft, mutilation of candidates’ details, as well as prevention of unnecessary litigation occasioned by candidates, who provide such information on pieces of paper only to later turn around to lay claims to different details.

The board in showing how serious this directive is, has suspended Total Child Computer and CBT Centre(TCCC), Abuja, from the ongoing 2024 registration exercise for violating this specific directive.

Specifically, TCCC was suspended for registering candidates with ePIN copied manually and presented by candidates as against the mandatory display of the profile code and vended e-PINs as received on their phone screens.
