Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has provided an update on injured national team goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.
Nwabali was stretchered off during the Super Eagles 2-0 victory against Cameroon in their round of 16 clash at the AFCON 2023 tournament last Saturday.
The 27-year-old, who appeared to suffer a knee injury, was replaced by Francis Uzoho in the 80th minute.
The goalkeeper sat out training on Monday night at the Police College, Cocody. He has been rock-solid for the Super Eagles so far in Ivory Coast, conceding only once in four games.
However, Peseiro has refused to rule out the Chippa United shot stopper ahead of Nigeria’s AFCON 2023 quarter final clash against Angola on Friday.
