Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has reportedly compensated Super Eagles players who performed at the recently concluded African Cup of Nations (AFCON) with noteworthy gifts for their commendable performance at the tournament.
The president of the most populated black nation hosted members of the Super Eagles team and technical crew in Aso Rock, Abuja on Tuesday afternoon following their arrival from Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire. It would be recalled the Super Eagles of Nigeria lost 2-1 to the 2023 AFCON host, Ivory Coast (otherwise known as Cote D’Ivoire) in the final of the tournament on Sunday, February 11.
Few days after finishing with a silver medal at the continental contest, President Tinubu alongside the vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima decided to honour the footballers who represented the Super Eagles.

News Round The Clock gathered that President Tinubu honoured the footballers and members of the technical crew with a Member of the Order of Niger (MON).
Further, he gifted each player a plot of land in the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja) each and also gave them a flat each in Nigeria.
