Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has appointed white paper committees to analyse the reports of the Visitation Panels for the three public Colleges of Education and recommend specific courses of action to improve the schools’ fortunes.
According to a statement from AbdulRazaq’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor named the visitation panels for Colleges of Education in Oro, Ilorin, and Lafiagi (Technical) in October 2023.
After visiting the schools, the panels submitted their reports in January 2024. Following this, the governor appointed individuals to serve as chairpersons/members of the White Paper Committees for each college.

For the College of Education, Ilorin, Prof. Jimada Idris Shaaba was appointed Chairman, along with Hajia Afusat AbdulRahman, Hajia Eletu Halimat Aduke, Dr. Seyi Oloyede, Dele Abiodun, Hajia Bilikis Olatundun Suleiman, Dr. Ayoku Oba Babatunde, and Peter Ghana Abu as Secretary.
Similarly, for the College of Education, Oro, Prof. Mrs Binta Jibola Sulyman was appointed Chairman, along with Barrister Bature Ismail, Architect Thomas Gana, Barrister Temim Aisha, Mrs. Bola Olaoye, Architect Shakirudeen Oladotun, Hon. Omo Abass Taofik, with AbdulGaniy Shuaib as Secretary.
Dr. Fatai Bello was appointed Chairman for the College of Education (Technical) in Lafiagi, along with Mrs Fakayode Folushe, Barrister Yahaya Ndakene, Dr. Safi Lawal, Engineer Usman Bayero, Rebecca Yaga, Barrister Muslima Nagode, and Salami Adeshina as Secretary.

The committees, as stated in the announcement, have two weeks to submit their reports, starting from the first day of their sittings.
