Ex-Super Eagles captain and goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has announced the passing of his father, Pa Phillip Enyeama, NRTC reports.
Announcing the sad news on social media, Enyeama tagged a video of himself and his late father enjoying the game of table tennis.

The former Hapoel Tel Aviv goalkeeper lost his mother in 2015. That was two years after lifting the the Africa Cup of Nations trophy with Nigeria.
Pa Philip Enyeama was a retired coach who nurtured Vincent into becoming one of Africaās best goalkeepers ever.
Individual and team honours
Enyeama won three Nigeria Premier League titles and two CAF Champions League honours with Enyimba. He left the shores of Nigeria for greener pastures in 2005.
He won one Israeli Premier League title each with Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Enyeama also claimed two Israel State Cups with the former.

In 2014, Enyeama won the prestigious Prix Marc-Vivien FoƩ for being the best African player in the French Ligue 1 following the 2013/14 season.
Enyeama made the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Team of the Tournament in both in both 2004 and 2013 . In March 2023, the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) named Enyeama the Greatest African Goalkeeper of all time.
