I am a man of modest income: Here is why socialite, Dele Momodu is the ‘face of zero naira’

“I am a man of modest income”, Dele Momodu stated in a thread that he made on the social media platform, Twitter (otherwise known as X) last weekend.

The tweet went viral and he immediately became a social media sensation.

Predominantly appealing to the male demographic specifically because of the statement, “I’m a man of modest income and I always try not to overstretch my luck.”

Following the viral tweet, the foremost Nigerian journalist and progenitor, Dele Momodu has become the face of ‘zero naira’. The unofficial Nigerian currency that was designed by a X user.

Writing on Twitter, Dele Momodu wrote,

“SINCERE APOLOGIES… It has become necessary for me to offer apologies to those who have asked me for one support or the other in recent time for my inability to help.”

His post reads further, “God is my witness, I’m currently overwhelmed by my own projects that require absolute discipline and focus.”

“I pray that God will help me to be able to bless those who genuinely need help,” he added.

Then went on to state, “If I have not picked your call, it is because I feel too pained to say NO to you. It is a sign of my respect for you, and not of disdain.”

In conclusion, he wrote, “I’m a man of modest income and I always try not to overstretch my luck.
I wish for your kind understanding at this difficult moment…”
