Wrestlemania XL: Cody Rhodes becomes Undisputed champion, Bayley wins WWE women’s title in night 2

The second night of the 40th edition of Wrestlemania witnessed the crowning of Cody Rhodes as the WWE Undisputed champion.

After winning the Royal Rumble competition for a second time in a row in January 2024, the former tag team champion finally completed his story by defeating the longest reigning WWE Undisputed champion, Roman Reigns.

Cody’s success is coming after he and Seth Rollins suffered a loss in the tag team match against the Bloodline, a team of Roman Reigns and The Rock on Wrestlemania night one.

It is important to note that Reigns has held the WWE Undisputed title for 1,316 days, a record.

Bayley, who won the women’s Royal Rumble competition defeated Iyo Sky to grab the WWE Women’s Championship.

In an interesting encounter on Sunday night, Damian Priest who won the 2023 Money In The Bank (MITB) title finally cashed in his contract by pinning Drew Mclyntre after he defeated the World Heavyweight champion, Seth Rollins.

Meanwhile, Logan Paul defeated Randy Orton to retain his US title.

In his first Wrestlemania contest, LA Knight defeated Aj Styles as Bobby Lashley’s The Pride defeated The Final Testament in an entertaining tag team encounter.
